Academic Senior Members of ANG.U.TECH have participated in a three-day workshop on Teaching and Research Methodology.
As part of Management’s commitment to ensure quality and excellence in the transfer of knowledge at ANG.U.TECH, the Management of ANG.U.TECH in collaboration with the Centre for Teaching Support (CTS) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has organized a three-day workshop on teaching and research methodology for all Academic Staff. Some of the key thematic areas for discussion during the workshop included assessment types and bloom’s taxonomy, table of specification and test construction, preparation of course outline and marking scheme, effective project work supervision and publication of research.
In his opening statement, Professor Douglas Agyei, the Director of CTS commended Management of ANG.U.TECH for organizing the workshop and emphasized the need to refresh the pedagogical skills of University Teachers through workshops of this nature to enable them inject new ideas and maintain quality in their work.
The President of ANG.U.TECH, Professor Albert A. Addo-Quaye in his closing remarks thanked the CTS team from UCC for their collaboration in organizing the workshop. He encouraged ANG.U.TECH Senior Members to apply the additional skills acquired especially in the area of research so that they can produce more quality research that contributes to knowledge in order to project the image of the University College and their own expertise. He also assured the Senior Members that more of such workshops will be organized in other to sharpen their skills set from time to time.
Senior Members who attended the workshop expressed gratitude for the opportunity to update their knowledge and skills with current trends in teaching and research through the workshop.
